I grew up mostly on the East Coast. I have lived in six different states:
Minnesota, Alabama, Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, and for the past five
years, South Dakota. I have been married for three years to my husband Josh and
we have two beautiful boys together, Tristan (2) and Daniel (6 months). I also
have a lovely step-daughter named Taylor.
I graduated in 1999 from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree
and moved to Philadelphia and then New York City to pursue a career in music and
theater. I sang professionally for nearly 10 years and dabbled in acting during
my time in the big city. In 2006, I moved to Ramona, South Dakota and enrolled
at DSU. I received my Teaching Certification and enrolled in the MSET program. I
was a graduate assistant in the Diversity Services office at DSU for two years.
I student taught in Madison and became the Technical Director for the Madison
Drama Department. In 2008, I was hired to teach Spanish and English at Madison.
I became the Director of the Drama Department in 2009.
I enjoy teaching and directing as well as reading, travelling, (I have been
to 18 countries and more than half of the US!), singing, and dancing. I continue to love to perform and perform whenever possible.
I look forward to graduating from the MSET program in the spring of 2012!
