CET 726: Technology in the Curriculum
Instructor: Don Wiken
Completed: Summer 2007
Course Description:
The course promotes the systematic design and development of computer-based and related technologies curriculum. The course also examines the impact of technology on the teaching and learning process.
Completed Projects:
Dr. Suess Book-Alikes:
This unit involves reading some Dr. Seuss books, discussing the literary elements used in his writing such as rhyming and alliteration, and creating your own book similar to Dr. Seuss's using multimedia technology such as Microsoft Publisher and adobe Illustrator to enhance the project. This unit can be one to two weeks in length. It can be modified to fit the needs of any classroom. This was a good way to learn how to take a concept and use it for multiple grade levels and subject areas.
